Extra Crumbs "Live well today" This morning we left the cottage - TopicsExpress

Extra Crumbs "Live well today" This morning we left the cottage early. We had not even showered or brushed our teeth; we just donned our baseball hats, our sweats and headed out the door. With dog in tow we drove down through the rolling hills to drive up beside and park at our Gracie Manor, to the rest of the world Graiguenamanagh. A tiny ancient village build along and around a beautiful river. We walked together the boardwalk, up past the boats, around the deep bush, stopped only briefly to admire the sunlit leaves as they rustled in the Irish wind. It was our walk, our journey, possibly some of our last moments together in this Ireland paradise. We Christened Gracie Manor our spot this morning, the sacred place of our love. It’s the place of many conversations, many distant thoughts, the place of a family that has come together, the place of photo’s that marked two great hearts. It’s our oasis in a busy, busy world, a place where we have walked together and will again for some time. In less than 60 minutes we will pack up Isabelle, Saoirse’s little car, and start the 90 minute journey to the airport. It seems only yesterday that I arrived, but it has been almost 30 days. A whirlwind of activity, a reunion, a meeting many for the first time. An Irish, Canadian celebration, a heavenly love that binds. A week on a moon full of honey, with new pleasures and heights to see, a journey across an emerald island for all the world to see. As I look out the French doors of rosemary’s cottage I see the rolling brown and green hills of Ireland displayed like the pillars of a great life ready to be lived, of wedding bells, distant lands, majestic hugs, many years, life long commitment, much laughter and very few tears. I see a life well lived, laid out in every nook, every busy, and butterfly, every sheep the baaaa’s on by, a life well lived, that began as one kiss in a far away land called PEI. Today we shall say goodbye in a little while. As one of us leaves and one of will join in a little while, one thing is sure we can never remake one single moment, each one is ours a gift we have lived, a moment in time, a precious event a life divine. Each of us gets one, we each get to walk this way, it is our journey, our gift, our love and our day. Ireland has been so good to us, a divine piece of heaven that will always be part of us. It will be seen in our eyes, heard in our ears, loved in our love, with every memory, thought, and feeling we hold so dear. We take you with us, always to be part of us, every melody, every song, in all our hearts and in all our love where you belong. A piece of heaven with heavens many keepers, the green expanse of your horizons mixed with all you folks we hold dear. Each of you goes with us, a part of who we shall become, we leave you with your love and in our hearts where you belong. We walk this way but once, each moment and soul we touch is our gift to God alone. Live well today
