Extreme poverty, economic downturn that creates lack of opportunities or chronic unemployment are the government and capitalist instrument of manipulation to make ordinary people to more dependent and submissive to their power (approvals, orders, rules) Which only secure the permanent comfortable position of the ruling elite class to be dominant, exploitative and free to do more social injustice and inequality appears justified. While the ordinary people blindly believes they are all at the mercy of the upper-class that brutally oppress them. And be thankful if they would be lucky or blessed to get the ruling class considerations to give them job opportunities which are deprived to many.
