Eyes on the prize! My primary concern and preoccupation is YAHYA - TopicsExpress

Eyes on the prize! My primary concern and preoccupation is YAHYA JAMMEH AND HIS DESTRUCTIVE and ABUSIVE WAYS. Quite often, mostly out of frustration, we tend to turn against each other instead of the man who has put us in our current predicament. The reason why most of us are exiled is because of Jammeh’s criminal regime. Njagga Jagne, Lamin Sanneh, Papa Faal, Jaja Nyass and others did not just wake up and decide to become liberators, twenty damn years of constant abuse and murder of our people compelled them to sacrifice life, family and career to fight for the oppressed people of The Gambia. As long as Jammeh and his criminal gang continue to abuse our people, many will be compelled to fight back. Gambians didn’t ask for Jammeh’s leadership nor did we ask for his abusive rule. We as a people are generally a very peaceful people, but like Ousainou Mbenga always reminds us, “we all have a breaking point” and yes we have reached that breaking point. There isn’t a crime that Jammeh hasn’t meted out to us. The sooner we wake up from our slumber and deal with this glaring danger, the better for all of us. We must realize that no amount of finger pointing, ‘garuwalleh’, hulo’, pontification and saganteh will make our cancer, Yahya Jammeh go away. It will take a very dedicated and selfless and concerted effort to fight and end the Jammeh dictatorship. We can either focus on the prize or wallow in pettiness to the detriment of our oppressed people. Understanding and appreciating the sacrifices of our GALLANT FREEDOM FIGHTERS, I refuse to be dragged into pettiness. The stakes are too high and future too gloomy for us to be distracted. My enemy is YAHYA JAMMEH and not anyone else in the struggle. It is ok to agree to disagree, but let us remember who is responsible for the destruction of the lives and future of the Gambia
