Ezra Calvin Williams Calvin Williams, 88, of Beckley, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a short illness. Calvin was born November 9, 1924, at Kilsyth, W.Va., a son of the late George A. and Sadie Ollie Williams. Calvin worked for 39 years mining coal, he was active in all things with the Union, he was financial secretary of Local Union 1123 for over 30 years. He was Secretary of Marfork Burial Fund. Calvin was founder, member and deacon of The Full Gospel Community Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George, Rexall, Manuel and Jack; four sisters, Donnie, Velva, Alma and Zona; and his son, Calvin Alfred Williams. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 47 years, Kathyrn Jean Stewart Williams; children: Ronnie Gene “Lyndia,” Brenda Lou “Richard,” Raymond Michael “Pam,” Deanna Doris, Randall Eugene and Terry Lee “Pat”; 21 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at the Full Gospel Community Church at Glen Daniel, with Pastor Kenneth Ayers officiating. Singers will be Three Generations. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery at Rock Creek. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville. Arrangements by Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville.
