Dan Liljenquist - a regular columnist now for the Deseret News -was interviewed by the John Birch Society while campaigning for Senate. There he pledged to work to repeal the 17th Amendment, which allows for the direct election of senators, a shockingly fringe and elitist position which says much about what he thinks about the average voter.
