And these effects are primarily among Native American adolescents. Similarly, if someone who is non-Native American sees a stereotypical image of a Native American mascot, their association with the Native American community also gets worse. So whoever you are, if you see these images your view of Native Americans gets worse. And... fyi: this is why the stereotypes were generated as part of military propaganda in the first place. You dont stereotype people if you dont also want to kill them and take all their stuff. My opinion.
