F.Y.I. Was at the grocery yesterday and while in the produce dept. noticed a woman standing over the lettuce. She was sneezing, not bothering to cover her mouth. Anyone who has seen a sneeze in slow motion gets the picture. She did not do this once or twice but continuously while examining various items. I quickly got ahead of her. She not only sneezed, she sniffed, wiped her eyes, picked up some tomatoes, put them back down, so on and so forth. I kept seeing her in the aisles, keeping my distance. The last I saw of her was at the check out, laying all of these items on the conveyor belt while the cashier price checked them and the bagger put them in the bags.....and that my friends is how there are epidemics. Granted, probably just a cold, maybe even allergies however the thought of bodily fluids on my food is nauseating. Thus the reason I will not only wash my produce from now on, but will double wash it. I will also be more vigilant about wiping all items off when putting them away. Especially opening a can. It is not just produce you have to be aware of anymore.
