FACING OUR DEMONS Last time we played the Demons we entered on a winning streak and all was going well. The game though took its toll. Boak rolled his ankle early but played on but would miss games after, Andrew Moore had an unsuccessful return injuring his shoulder soon after being subbed on and is only now returning through the SANFL, Wingard was knocked out by friendly fire and Trengove dislocated his finger. On top of that our running game was all but stopped by the Paul Roos rolling maul game plan which has been adopted by everyone we played since. We won in Alice Springs but it was ugly and costly and in my opinion we havent been the same side since. This time we enter the game off three losses in a row and have slipped to fifth on the ladder. Trengove and Carlile are injured and some of our guns have gone silent. We need this win to regain confidence as well as to cement our place in the finals. (11 wins is not enough. ) We face a team who will try to win through contested possessions. If we fail to better their effort we will get what we deserve. Only once the hard ball is won can the running machine get going. Being its Dominic Cassisis last game I hope the entire team shows as much guts and determination as Dom did over his career. I hope the boys play this game like its a grand final and leave nothing left in the tank. Live the Creed Port Make us proud Go Port Admin Dave
