FAQS, Had a few people asking questions so I have put together some FAQS and answers!! How much candy pearl do I add per 5litres of Rubber Dip Spray? - For best results we suggest mixing in 50 grams per 5litre premixed, but up to 75 grams can be added. All depends how you want the pearl to look. If you are adding the thinners and plasti dip your self, add the pearls to the thinners first and whisk, then add to the plasti dip and whisk. Do you add the Pearl Pigment/Micro Flake into colored Plasti Dip or Clear? - For best results we suggest mixing the pearl directly into either clear plasti dip, or a 50/50 mix of Plasti dip and Glossifier. Are you using Thinned or Un-thinned Plasi Dip when adding pearls? - We are only using pre-thinned Plasti dip, so premixed, but un-thinned dip can be used when properly reduced using 50% Thinners! How much Micro flake do I add per 5litres? - For best results we suggest mixing 25 grams per 5litres. You can use up to 50 grams per 5litre dip but the surface will have a slightly sandy texture. Can I use Micro Flake like Pearl to make custom colors? - Yes you can, but if you add the required 50 grams per 5litres you’ll end up with a Sandy textured surface when finished. So you should half the advised amounts when mixing up two types! Do I have to apply a base coat first? - For best results you’ll need to apply a base of Plasti dip first. You can use a Color Matching base coat if desired. For example- (Blue Plasti dip Spray as a base for Blue Pearls too coat) works best!
