FASHION FRIDAY: Clothes and Manners do not make the Man;but when he is made,they greatly improve his appearance._ Arthur Ashe A womans perpective about male fashion would usually be:Men and fashion go together like socks and sandals. Well reason being men usually have their own distinctive and individual ideas about what looks good,hence you find that some men feel excluded from and threatened by fashion. According to Themba male fashion is all about being brave and that fashion is not about clothes,its about style,grooming,intelligence and most importantly being a gentleman. On the other hand Mobongeni defines male fashion as giving oneself the ability to walk with their chin up and gaining self-confidence through the art of fashion. Throughout my research on male fashion,I actually noticed that theres a vast difference between being Stylish and being Fashionable;Fashions Fade,Style is eternal. I hate to admit but men buy their clothe with intelligence,put them on with care(not saying women dont ),they also go for something worth-while knowing that it will never be outmoded,they know that Real Luxury is understanding quality and having the time to enjoy it and again men know that a superb tailorss work is ageless. According to Themba and Mbongeni men have their clothing etiquette ie the DOs and DONTs( NB: its their opinions) DOs • A perfect fit always looks better • Use bright colours for highlighting your gear (eg a bright tie,watch etc. Better on accessories) • Your outfit should be seasonally appropriate • Most of all be confident in what you werin and be versatile. DONTs • Dont mis up too many colours • Smart casual doesnt mean wear pointy shoes • Dont over dress yourself. Rucksack,men bags or briefcases? •It actually depends on the style you wearing briefcases are old school,man bags for modern smart casual and rucksack maybe for a creative/artistic look. Name 4 Items which are Trending. 1. Crop Fold jeans 2. Bucket hats 3. Leather Gloves 4. Palladium Boots. But men shouldnt follow trends they should set their own, Are there certain colours men should wear? • Not really but pink is just....just out of the equation lol • Men should just stick to dark colours and leave bright colours to ladies.
