“FATHERS” – It is absolutely imperative that we as men make sure that our sons respect their mothers at all times. Even if you’re no longer with their mother and you don’t necessarily care for her or agree with her when it comes to every day issues, the importance of teaching your son respect for his mother is paramount. Why? Because one day prayerfully he will have a family of his own and without instruction, discipline, and counsel we will build generations of abuse and lack of respect for our women. If you hear it and you live across town, get in your car and tighten it up. What ever you’re doing if you hear about it or witness it, shut it down immediately. Also you must set an example in terms of how you talk to her, especially in front of the children. Again, if we don’t we’ll create examples that will spawn generations of abuse towards women… (DC Real Talk #4132)
