FB Friends--Dont you think Sham Lal Sharmas role in enhancing the effects of flood fury needs to be probed on several counts: (a) What happened to the file wherein assistance of Rs. 2200 crores was sought, out of which only 97 crores were granted (b) Why was the dredging stopped of flood channel? (c) Why werent the queries raised by Central Water Commission not adequately replied to ease the flow of grants? (d) Who slept over the papers that meant a lot to the state, as the massive damage caused by flood made evident? (e) Why wasnt standard operating procedure [SOP] followed by flood control department once South Kashmir waters were rushing towards Srinagar & where was the minister concerned during this period (f) Why and how was the warning on our engineers neglected, who had laid down clearly in 2010 that after South Kashmir gets inundated, Srinagar will get submerged and later North Kashmir. They had also warned that IG Road to airport will get inundated impeding the approach to the airport It happened exactly as predicted--so shouldnt a probe be launched to investigate Sharmas role, as he was the minister in charge of flood control portfolio? Social networking forums are meant to make the society conscious--let a strong voice be raised for the probe---GIVEN THE FACTS, DO YOU FAVOUR THE PROBE?
