FB March 08, 2014: Building a Glorious Temple Thayer’s Greek - TopicsExpress

FB March 08, 2014: Building a Glorious Temple Thayer’s Greek Lexicon also refers to the word edify as meaning: to build a house. Erect a building. To restore by building, to rebuild, repair. We know that Jesus once said to some Jews that were seeking a sign, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. The scripture goes on to explain that He was referring to the temple as His body. Our bodies are also referred to as a temple of God, Gods house. Therefore when building yourself up by praying in tongues, there will be times in your walk with the Lord that things will need to be repaired. The Holy Spirit aka the creator of the universe and all that is in them is going to help you pray in tongues and as you do, you are being built into the person that God has called you to be; the Holy Spirit will repair everything that needs to be repaired. I also believe that as you pray in tongues, the Spirit of God builds into your spirit, soul and body gifts, talents, and strength enabling you to do what He has called you to do through His mighty power. (We do believe that the blood of Jesus ever cleanses us and we believe that by beholding the glory of the Lord, the Holy Spirit changes us. The subject under discussion is about praying in tongues so we will continue building upon this teaching). - Edwin H.
