FBF - - - Freedom ~ A Powerful Word - If you live in a free country, like I do, then you have someone to thank for that freedom. In America, a lot of people have died to win and fight for the freedoms we enjoy. Today is Remembrance or Armistice Day - a wonderful day to give thanks to a veteran! November 11th is the anniversary for the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed it a holiday in 1919. In 1953 a shoe store owner, Al King, had the idea to expand this holiday to include all veterans. So to all the veterans out there: Now on tomorrow - November 11, 2013 {Monday} HAVE A BLESSED VETERANS DAY AND THANK YOU for fighting for our freedom!!!!! Well...we owe our freedom from sin and death to Jesus Christ. Have you thanked Him lately? He has given us a freedom that is greater than the freedom of speech, religion etc. Because of His death and resurrection: I am free from shame, sin and death. And the Holy Ghost is keeping us daily. That, my friend is a reason to celebrate! Thank you Jesus for living, dying, rising, and going back to heaven and sending back the Holy Ghost for me - actually for each one of us.
