FC Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas gives Arsenal advice on Premier League title challenge....Arsenal have been given some advice in their attempted pursuit of the Premier League title by their former captain Cesc Fabregas. The Gunners are in their first genuine battle to win the English top division since the 2007-2008 season, when a dreadful leg break suffered by Eduardo derailed their challenge. This term a serious injury hasn’t thrown them off track, with Arsenal still competing well despite Theo Walcott ruled out for the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament problem early in January. Fabregas has been impressed by what he has seen so far from Arsene Wenger and team, and urged his old team to keep up their pursuit, saying maintaining their performance in the remaining matches is vital. “It would be amazing [if they won the league], they need to be very consistent between now and the end of the season,” said Fabregas, quoted in the Daily Mirror. “I am very happy how they are playing, they have a strong squad, they are top of the league. I cannot wait to see if they can lift the trophy finally.” Fabregas also praised the quality of the Barclays Premier League this season, and indicated that he was not shocked upon watching Manchester City’s 100% record at the Etihad Stadium taken down by Chelsea on Monday night. “In one season it’s impossible to win every single game, you will always lose,” he added. “Whether it’s the League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League, there’s so many games. The Premier League is a very tough league. Anyone can beat you. It was a very entertaining game.”
