FCAT Scores are in and my 7th grade squad went up in both MATH and reading. Two years in a row my 7th grade math team gained points (only crew in the school to do so)!!! This is a good omen for my VAM score. A big thanks to Patty Golden who worked with our AVID 7th grade kids to make this happen. Her patience, enthusiasm, determination, and unmatched optimism inspired me and our teachers to not give up on our 7th graders even in the darkest hours. Unfortunately the other grades and subjects were flat or dropped one or two points. It looks like we will be a "C" school again. "But there is always next year."
