FCS parents, PLEASE make your voice known to a school board member or the administration office. This past Monday evening was a public hearing to assess the salary of the superintendent again. The raise is potentially about a 7% increase! As I am sure the attendance at the meeting was low, PLEASE take the time to share your approval or concerns. Our kiddos count on us to do whats best for them and the future. Keep in mind, teachers have not had a salary increase in the past 5 years and have been told not to consider one until 2019 at the earliest. Equipment upgrades or new devices (such as iPads for classrooms) must be managed by the teacher whom wants it. Some of the school buses lack heaters and speedometers that work. Most specials teachers teach at two schools. Science lab was cut from rotations due to lack of funding. And that is only just a few things to keep in mind. We, as parents, are the ones that are going to have to hold these people accountable if the elected members of school board wont. Please share with all of the
