FEAT Updates Be ready Be prepared Credit to the owner of this Advisory - JMG Dear Foton Team: In preparation to eventualities of a Typhoon that may likely to hit your respective areas, we would like to send this notice as a reminder to everyone concerned in eliminating/minimizing possible damages and losses to your company assets. I. Outside Perimeter (Building/Facility) a. Remove any tarpaulins/banners within the perimeter. b. Augment protection on the showroom glass panels by installing duct tapes surrounding the area,or a plywood to cover the entire glass may be deemed necessary if typhoon is complemented by strong winds. c. All drainage must be cleaned (free from any foreign objects) regularly for a seamless water flow during heavy rains. d. A make-shift wooden bridge to ensure people can still access the main door must be available if in case your frontage is a catch basin during heavy down pour. e. Ensure that all company vehicles / test drives units / brand new units are parked safely (HIGER GROUNDS) and free from possible submersion and falling debris. II. Inside the Office/Workplace a. Keep equipment (PC, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Telephone units and other communication) away from water leaks coming from the ceiling or flooring. b. Always keep a back up copy of work files. c. It is best that a full database back up must be done and safe keep in a secured area. d. Keep equipment turned off and unplugged, if a computer is equipped with UPS, ensure that the computer and UPS are both turned off. e. Unplug/disconnect network cable (UTP/LAN cable) as this might send voltage surge when lightning strikes. f. Secure all important documents free from water damage. IN GENERAL SENSE a. Save important hotline numbers and download mobile apps for you to get quick updates. Being informed will save you from a lot of troubles. 1. SLEX - (02) 584-4389 2. NLEX - (02) 580-8910 3. MMDA - 136 / 882-0925 (Flood Control) 4. Respective Barangay Halls 5. Respective Fire Station 6. Respective Police Station b. Make this as a checklist every time for proper safety and precautionary measures. FOR OPERATING DEPARTMENTS: a. When a call is received from a Customer in distress, please be mindful on the following communication: 1. Do not attempt to start. 2. Remove battery terminals. 3. Secure all pertinent documents inside the vehicle (Insurance Policy/ OR/CR) 4. Schedule a towing service (if fully submerged) and coordinate with your Foton Dealership. Give yourself a peace of mind, be pro-active and always remember to be S.A.F.E (Stay Away From Emergencies). Kindly disseminate to all concerned personnel. Note: If your dealership is most likely in the path of the typhoon, it is best that we do text blast reminding our Customers for any eventualities (stating item 1 to 4).
