FEATURED DENTIST OF THE WEEK: BRO. REY VICTOR BONG ESTRELLA of APO PSI CHAPTER Dr. Estrella is an established dental practitioner who has earned a number of peer-related distinctions in his field of practice. A graduate of Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Centro Escolar University in 1993, he completed an extensive post-graduate training on orthodontics, surgical and prosthetic training, implant dentistry, implant prosthodontics, bone and soft tissue augmentation, endodontic clinical program, bone grafting, as well as a post-graduate program in Hospital Dentistry at the Metropolitan Medical Center. He is a very active member of several organizations, among them: the Philippine Dental Association, the Philippine Academy of Implant Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, International Association of Orthodontics, Rotary Club of Pasay West, Makati Dental Chapter (where he served as a member of the Board) and the Makati Dental Society, where he served as President in 2012. When asked about how he was able to manage his time, Dr. Estrella answers: With the many things I want to do in a day I think 24 hours is not enough and so does 7 days in a week, but I love my work as a dentist and that is why I am active in serving and helping out in the Philippine Dental Association and other socio-civic groups. Its my way of giving back. Also a sports enthusiast, Dr. Estrella plays badminton once a week, an active member of the 1925 dragon boat team and 1925 shooters club, and loves riding his bike whenever he can as he believes that sports molds a person to think and have a better perspective in life, aside from its health benefits.
