You can get to it quick heading east on Highway 140 out of White City. It is home to one of my favorite fishing spots in this end of the state, and no.....I am NOT telling you exactly where that is! Fish Lake Resort has been the destination for many families over the years. They offer year round fun. Fishing, camping, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, you can do it all up here. The owners of Fish Lake Resort are Jim and Debbi Blodgett and they are wonderful hosts indeed. The resort itself has a restaurant, store, and a game room. They have a marina with boat rentals available. The fishing up here is excellent indeed and the lake is populated by rainbow trout, tiger trout, (a hybrid of a brook trout and a brown trout), and chinook salmon. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife regularly stocks Fish Lake to keep fishing very good. Pleasure boating is allowed on the lake and you will see water skiers or people playing on inflatable towables. The boat ramp is in the Forest Service day use area and you will pay a fee to use it. Their campground has cabins and features campsites that will accommodate even large motor homes and 5th wheel trailers. Fish Lake Resort also sits in the middle of a vast trail system that gives you lots of options for hiking and biking in the summer and cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and snowmobiling in the winter. The resort is open seven days a week from April through the end of October, and then open weekends during the winter.
