FEBRUARY 1 IS WORLD HIJAB DAY! World Hijab day is basically a day for non-Muslims and Muslims to adorn (wear) a Hijab and raise awareness of the fact that women are not forced to wear Hijab it is of their own free will and choice. This day is to help others accept that people look and dress differently but does not mean that they are any different from you. Founder of World Hijab Day: The found was Nazma Khan who lives and was raised in New York. She came to New York at the age of 11 from Bangladesh and was the only Hijabi in middle school. She set up figured the only way to stop discrimination was to allow people to experience the Hijab.
