FED FOR SLAUGHTER MEMORY VERSE: but thou, O Lord, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried my heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of the slaughter, Jeremiah 12:3 BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Num 8, Ps 44, Sng 6, Heb 6 God wants you to prosper. You know something is definitely wrong if a father is wealthy and his son is poor. According to Psalms 24:1, the Lord owns the whole world. Haggai 2:8 says silver and gold belong to Him. If our father in heaven owns everything in the world, why then should His children suffer? As a believer, if you are struggling financially at the moment i want you to know it is temporary. I have good news for you; joy and abundance is coming your way. Psalms 30:5 says weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. It does not matter how low you have fallen, you will bounce back. Isaiah 3:10 says say ye to the righteous that it shall be well with him. Friend it shall be well with you. Your physical prosperity is hinged on your spiritual life. The Lord loves you too much to prosper you beyond your spiritual maturity. Solomon is a prime example of a man who prospered beyond his soul. When he became rich, he began to collect women and concubines. At the end, those ladies caused him to sin against God. A fellow who prospers beyond his soul might end up badly if care is not taken. 3 John 2 says I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth. If you are really serious about prospering, one of the things you need to do is meditate on the word of God. Joshua 1:8 says this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Not only that you need to pay attention to living a life of holiness. When you see a fellow prospering beyond his soul or prospering whilst living in disobedience to the law of God you need to pity them. I grew up in the country side. We had chicken roaming all round the compound with other livestock. To catch any of those chickens, we would strategically arrange corn seeds on the ground. These corn seeds would lead to a small hut. The moment the chicken sees the corn seed, it starts picking them. These corn seeds would lead this chicken inside the hut where it is too late to run. The enemy employs these tactics too. He would prosper a fellow above his soul so that he can destroy them. He makes it appear as if you can prosper without obeying God but in actual sense, he is feeding the fellow so that the he can destroy the fellow later. PRAYER POINT: Father, please let me never have what you have not giving to me.
