FELT CHEATED from DEAL.SG and MAPLE TRADING. Drafted them this email: Dear DEAL.SG please help me contact the merchant who had never replied to my emails previously. Please follow up the case diligently and not let this develop into a nasty complain. DEAL.SG Senior staff had replied me We regret to inform you that we are unable to request a refund for you as you have already used the item. His reply is unacceptable. Of course I had to use the product otherwise how would I know there is something wrong with the product! Please tell me what cooking product after cooking will have black stain when I dry with tissue paper?? In short, I want to refund the two Steamer Lunchbox that I bought from maple seed trading from Deal.sg. One of it is unopened, still in a parcel, the other one, I had used it to cook porridge once for my baby. After washing, I dried the pot with white tissue paper, and it turned black! Not once, but several times. This is horrifying!! I have attached videos and photos. According to the lemon Law, case.org.sg/cpfta.html Lemon Laws are consumer protection laws that provide remedies against defective goods (colloquially known as “lemons”), which fail to conform to the contract at the time of delivery, e.g. do not meet standards of quality and performance, especially after repeated repair. Such laws obligate sellers to repair, replace, or refund or reduce the price of those defective goods. Why Lemon Law began? The push for this Act began with the observable increase in the number of errant traders and unethical business practices over the years. As a consumer organisation, CASE has come across numerous instances where consumers sought our help when they fell victim to unscrupulous business tactics. These included high-pressure selling tactics and aggressive door-to-door salespersons, amongst others. Please advise immediately how do I do the refund before I write in to the Straits Time commenting on Deal.sg and Maple Seed Trading. I have spent many hours of frustration calling since 20th Oct and waiting for calls to pick up by Deal.sg and not able to get fair and justified treatment from Deal.sg.
