FERMA engages reconstruction of collapsed Asaba – Illah – Ebu Road The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has announced the commencement of the reconstruction of the collapsed Asaba – Illah – Ebu Road between Delta and Edo States. According to the press report published by the Communication / Public Relations Department of the Agency on Tuesday July 8, 2014, the Agency condemned the insinuation that it has failed to fix the collapsed culvert. It further explained that the Agency did move to site immediately it was notified about the collapsed culvert. The report also noted that the Agency surveyed the damage caused as well as assessed the scope of work to restore the culvert and open up the road. ‘The reconstruction job, it added has commenced with Messrs Artes Global Construction Limited assigned to carry out the project.’ “The company commenced work on the 11th of June, 2014 and will complete the project on the 20th of July, 2014. We solicit the understanding and support of members of the public, especially the affected communities, while the job lasts,” the report said
