Im having a problem need some advice. Been seeing a lot of posts with pictures of matresses just laying outside in yards and on the streets. Are bed bugs a problem in Columbus now also? Im in Deputy Jennings Co about 45 min from Columbus. Bed bugs are a problem in the schools here. I need to know if other familys are suffering with bed bugs being brought home from school? I have called the Health Dept here and was told its just a part of life. What can been done??? I have spent $1,200 last year on professional chemical treatment for my home and 2,100 on replacing matresses. This morning found another bug now will be paying another $1,600 for a heat treatment. Please help me and point me in what direction to inform the public on this problem. Health Dept doesnt care but I do I want this problem to stop!!! Where do I start on informing the public of how important it is to properly treat their homes ,its very disturbing to lay awake at nite worring about bugs being in your home or in your bed. Thank you: Not a crazy person just a tramatized mom worring about my kids.
