FESTIVAL NEWS OMG we had a taste testing last night for the custom sausages made for us by Lloyd McLennan of Island Meat in Cook Street Village. Can the MeatDogg ever make sausages !!!! A traditional English banger or Snag ( Aussie for sausage) with a delicate seasoning with Herbes de Provence and our culinary lavender. They are awesome and will be served with a selection of toppings and condiments on buns made for us by Rita and Dale at Breadstuffs in Brentwood Bay. Food for the festival will include Hot dogs for kids, the sausages and BBQ roasted lamb. Also we will be offering raspberries and cream, chilled slices of watermelon, lavender ice cream sundaes, lavender cupcakes from Ooh la la Cupcakes and lavender biscotti and meringues from Melindas Biscotti, I looks like the weather is going to be sunny/warm but comfortable so lots of cold drinks will be available. Hats and sunblock maybe advisable. Parking onsite at the farm is limited and will be restricted to vehicles with valid handicapped stickers only. General parking will be available at the visitors centre next door and along John Road. having said that - car pool if you can. Bicycles can be a hazard in a crowded area so they are to be padlocked to the paddock fence at the entrance. Yikes eight days to go............. more later.
