FGMC: Why should I carry my bible to church? Because when I am preaching or teaching, you need to know what I am saying is really there and it is in context, further than that, the Holy Spirit will cause things to leep from the page to your eyes, it is what I call an aw haa moment... But the Holy Spirit is the one who teaches in all things... We do our best as Pastor and Teachers but we are not the Holy Spirit, yet we can follow God leading and then the Holy Spirit brings the enlightment to our personal need... NO Bible how are you to get that enlightenment as you follow the teaching and preaching of Gods word... I have at least seven bibles that are marked up some with dates that God revealed a special word to me... had I not had my bible in hand and open and following along I would have missed my aw haa moment with the Holy Spirit.... Your bible doesnt make you Holy or even saved... but when opened and following along to what is being ministered on with a receptive heart, you just may find yourself with an aw haa moment or a God moment and feel the fire of the Holy Spirit run through you as He reveals that bondage breaker called the Word of the Living God that does not return void... just a nugget...
