FIDDLEHEAD FOCUS. Having my one cup of coffee for the day, I - TopicsExpress

FIDDLEHEAD FOCUS. Having my one cup of coffee for the day, I sometimes think of all the things that are happening out there in this vast country as the sun moves across it, waking up folks in their different time zones, all of us rising up to take on our different lives. When I hear the CLICK for NEW MAIL, and see that its Fiddlehead Focus, our local online newspaper, I always stop and read the headlines. Then I go to the story or stories that interest me. But just reading the headlines reminds me of all the hard work that goes into putting that local paper together: the journalists going out to get the story, listening to people talk---sometimes of happiness, sometimes of tragedy---typing up the words, shaping them for the best effect, editing, copyediting, formatting, getting it all together. And me? I simply hit the links to read the stories. I dont even have to put down my cup of coffee. Thank you, Andrew Birden, Jessica (Jeremy, now gone) Monica, and all of you at Fiddlehead Focus who come together to keep on doing the work. Heres to the newspapers in those small towns all across America, towns the sun is just now reaching. (Now, I bet my friends from certain states will ask, What the hell is a FIDDLEHEAD?)
