FIELD FLASH!: VIGNETTES UPDATE The new poetry book / artwork/ package Vignettes continues to take shape and evolve. The 60 poems will now be printed in authentic 18th century caslon font for legibility and presented as individual loose poems within a package. There is a Dramatis Personae or key explaining who the people in the poems are, as well as the gods, goddesses, mythological and historical figures referenced in the poems. The limited edition package will each be slightly different and contain: An A5 clear plastic outer wallet Copy of a page from a 17th century book on music with a Silhouette cut out profile head A piece from a unique jigsaw puzzle of one of the people in the poems An outer cover of Murano chocolate brown paper An inner cover of cream card A business card size double portrait facsimile by William Aikman A standard postcard of a photograph A business card size detail of a painting An 18th century symbol printed onto tracing paper Copy of a page from a 17th century spiritual book Fragment of paper from a 19th century account book. A random selection have a handwritten poem on them. A brass dart book mark A silver antique style bird pendant A stem of dried lavender 60 poems of various sizes and shapes, once circular, some rolled up Each package is tied with natural jute string
