We have learnt from media reports that the Presidency of the Republic of Ghana has appointed a Committee of Enquiry and Investigation into the Black Stars’ participation to the 2014 FIFA World cup in Brazil. The composition and the competences of the said Commission are unclear. Provided the reports are true we deem it important to clarify from the beginning the procedures and to ensure that the GFA can operate without interference as required by FIFA statutes. Under this circumstance we kindly ask you to provide us with a report at your earliest convenience. Deputy General Secretary of FIFA, Markus Kattner. Our Questions: 1. Who leaked this letter from FIFA to the press? 2. Is there any doubt that FIFA has a monopoly over corruption in football matters? FIFA through its sloppy rules wants governments to sponsor football associations to maintain and keep them relevant, but frowns on the same government disciplining erring FA officials? How convenient! They have given immunity to FA officials who loot money greedily and go scot free. 3. How can somebody be paying the piper but cant dictates the tune? I honestly think government of Ghana should take a cue from Nigerian government, and get rid of the mafia group at the FA. We should care very little about the repercussions.
