Timelessness A story goes like this…….. It is a story of villagers staying in a village deep away from nearby town without proper communication .They used go to the town to sell their vegetables.. The local leader wanted to impress the villagers to get favour . So he took up the matter with railway and a railway station was built . In the inaugural session, villagers were invited. At the meeting ,he said that this would help villagers to sell their products in the town. He asked the villagers ,”How much time it takes to go to town ,sell your products and reach back your village ?“. Villagers replied ,” It takes about three days”. Leader said “Now you can go in the morning ,sell your products ,then reach home back in evening . So you save two days .Do’nt you ?” Villagers did not reply,they remained silent. Leader was confused .He put forward the same question again and again. Then villagers replied “What we will do in the rest two days ?” Villagers were simple,They used to enjoy the whole journey by singing, dancing,gossiping, listening to birds , spending the time in nature. They used to take rest as and when it was required . Every moment of the journey they used to enjoy . . They were not at all in a hurry to reach the destination. Journey was a pleasure to them ,not a task. . They used to remain in present by enjoying moment to moment. They were to afraid to lose that opportunity . Therefore they asked what they would do in the rest period . We ,the educated people always talk of speed . We like to stay either in past or future. Never we remain in present moment. Society has devised day ,month ,year ,speed to suppress the human being. Speed means to be away from present.There is car race,motor cycle race organized on regular basis .Life has become like a machine .Everybody is in a hurry. People says there is thrill in the speed. Please recall the childhood ,where time was not at all cared for. Every moment was enjoyable. There was no hurry. Still thrill was there. But do we have thrill in present moment ? The innocence is lost . We put our children in the same path. Everybody is in hurry . That is why the smile in the children is lost. They also play in race games in computers. Simplicity is lost. Living moment to moment is timelessness . No date ,no month ,no year exis
