FINALLY - a breakthrough! This was a matter being pursued for the last few years. Numerous RTI applications, losses of elephant lives such as Bijlee and failures behind us......the first captive elephant from Mumbai to get her freedom. FREEDOM - something we constantly abuse ourselves and man has actually worked twice as hard to take it away from other sentient beings. 3 cheers to Thane SPCA, Mrs. Maneka Gandhi and to our Forest Department. BIG thanks to Wildlife SOS for being there and giving LAxmi a new lease of life.
