FIRED: Three radio presenters/ journalists working at Akaboozi ku Bbiri, a sister radio station to Radio One reportedly axed for their comments about Lord mayors impeachment. Peter Kiyingi (PK Bossa), Simon Kaggwa Njala, and Basajja Mivules families may hardly afford supper tonight. Ok, whats my view? 1- I want to thank Hon. Maria kiwanuka. Maria is a such a professional who never interfered with her Radio managements ethical standards, that despite the fact that she has been in govt , she never interfered with who to be hosted from where. We may think that its simple that to be a minister in govt and allow divergent political opinions on your radio heavily listened to by state house. She has actually done her best. Mivule could only survive on such strong personality of Maria, and that is not to say Mivule is wrong, not at all. He is wrong becoz his spects are too clear. 2- I want to thank Basajja Mivule (the other two are simply victims of circumstances) for his contribution and legacy, you have not gone, because your legacy will remain. Martin luther is alive, Obama can testify. 3- There are people who think this attack is only targeting media, no,wait when media goes mute what will happen to churches, mosques, markets,NGOs, hospitals, young, old and the un born. 4- Finally, I disagree with Mpimbaza Hashaka on his complaints that some radios only host opposition with no chance to balance with nrms. > Hashaka knows it in his heart that I pesonally contact him for several shows, but out of 10,he can only attend 2/3, and he doesnt even find time to deligate/communicate back. > Mpimbaza knows it in his heart that Tamale mirundi is hosted ALONE from monday to friday, this is not to say opp.refuse to join him,no. Tamale abuses every creature on air with no one to respond, Hashaka doesnt compalain. Therefore, you may be heard today, but ensure you are understood always.
