FIRST CALL for BETA READERS—Hippity hop! It’s that time again! Beta Reading time. For those of you who would like to be on my beta reader team for the release of AN EX TO GRIND IN DEADWOOD, read the following information to find out where to sign up and what you need to do/know in order to be selected for the team: 1. You will need to EMAIL me your FULL NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, and PHYSICAL MAILING ADDRESS with “Ex Beta Reader” in the Subject line to: reader@anncharles 2. I would prefer you to have read the first four books/ebooks in the Deadwood Mystery series (Nearly Departed, Optical Delusions, Dead Case, and Better off Dead—Plus the two Deadwood Shorts ebooks) prior to reading An Ex to Grind in Deadwood, because part of what I need help with is looking for consistency errors. 3. I will be asking you to read the ebook and get back to me during the week of August 10th (I will need all feedback by August 17, 2014). If you are not able to work on this during that week due to the summer hustle and bustle, I understand. 4. Reply by July 27, 2014. Note: For those of you who are wondering what Beta Readers do, they read my book (in a .pdf, .epub, or .mobi format) prior to publication in order to help polish the story and make it shine super bright for the rest of the world. They look for spelling errors, minor grammar, consistency, and factual errors. They also help me when the book is released by talking about it on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, GoodReads, etc. Many of them also purchase the ebook on Amazon or B&N (or wherever) and publish reviews as soon as the book goes live. In return for all of this wonderful help, they get my undying love and affection, some autographed swag goodies, and entered in a drawing for posters and autographed printed versions of the book.
