FIVE BUGLERS ARRESTED FOR BEINGS IN POSSESSION OF POLICE UNIFORM By Reporter Business came to standstill early today in Kapsabet town as police officers gave a chase for suspected buglers who have been terrorizing residents at Kapsabet Showground, Kapsasur and Danger areas. The search for the suspects was heightened today following yesterday’s wave of crime where the suspects raped a 8 year old girl at Kimondi and broke into an AP officer house at Kapsasur and made away with his uniform, personal belongings, food and a copy of the Kenyan Constitution. The officer is reported to be on a study leave, pursuing further training. Acting on a tip off from members of the public, Police led by Kapsabet AP Commandant Victor Nzaka moved in to arrest the five suspects who led them to their hideouts Kapsabet showground. Boda boda operators from Kapsabet suspended their normal operations and joined the police motorcade in escorting the criminals to the police cells. Speaking to the Press Nandi Central DCIO Samson IHA Thoya has cautioned members of the public to be wary of people impersonating as police officers and report immediately. The five suspects are being held at Kapsabet police station and are expected to be arraigned at Kapsabet law Courts tomorrow.
