FIVE TRANSFERS MANCHESTER UNITED COULF COMPLETE ON DEADLINE - TopicsExpress

FIVE TRANSFERS MANCHESTER UNITED COULF COMPLETE ON DEADLINE DAY On paper, Fabio Coentrao is the most likely player to join Manchester United on deadline day. Although Carlo Ancelotti is standing firm that he will not leave Real Madrid in January because they do not have an adequate replacement lined up, it shouldn’t stop David Moyes from going back with another bid to sign him having failed in the summer. If Coentrao really wanted to move, he could always put in a transfer request. Fernando is a midfielder who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for months. The 26-year-old hard tackling Brazilian midfielder is out of contract in the summer and seeking a move away from FC Porto in January. Out of the blue, Manchester City have now been installed as favourites to sign him but if Fernando wants guaranteed first team football, United should definitely be his preferred choice. Manchester United have submitted a €15 million bid for Nicolas Otamendi according to reports emanating from Portugal yesterday. Also a Porto player, the 25-year-old Argentinian could well move to Old Trafford but it would likely be down to what happens with Eliaquim Mangala and Manchester City – if they sign him, Porto would hold on to Otamendi. Toni Kroos is the dream signing by all accounts for Manchester United fans. All is not well in the German’s camp right now and it is the perfect time to wobble the ship even more with a powerful bid for Kroos. From then on, anything could happen. William Carvalho must be United’s most scouted player this year and although Sporting Lisbon have insisted Carvalho is not for sale, they are a club whose finances are stricken. Therefore, United would be in a very strong position if Moyes went in with a deadline day bid for the 21-year-old midfielder who has taken the Portuguese league by storm this year.
