FLNOW President Reflects on Election Results We have had a few days now to reflect on the results of the primary election. We have had the heartbreak of Nan Rich’s defeat, and the elation of George Sheldon’s victory. It is time to move on. Nan Rich has taken the high road, and appeared with Charlie Crist urging her supporters to get behind him. Any recriminations she might have are not being aired to the public. We, the feminists who supported her, need to follow her example, although we may not find it easy. It might be gratifying to point fingers at other so called progressive groups who either, for no discernible reason, would not support her, or publicly endorsed her opponent, but it would not be productive. It would serve no purpose to complain to Nan’s Democratic Party that she should have been backed, instead of the rich white man. So from this point forward we must aim all our efforts toward making Rick Scott a one-term governor, and let Pam Bondi go look for a job at Fox News. We must work to get the vote out, and we must vote for Charlie Crist, even though some of us will hold our noses as we do it. In November, we will Pink Slip Rick and say Bye Bye Bondi.
