FLU VS EBOLA: thinking out loud.... I am concern about our countrys Ebola crisis, (caused in part by our leadership) however I do not feel I am a fear-monger or an alarmist. youtu.be/T_9gV9aVE7w As everyone knows Ebola is in the nations 5 second attention span, and it seems everyone at work and TV seem to be talking about it, discussing the facts. I was alarmed however to see the press, CDC and others downplay the Publics Ebola concerns. Just recently I saw a clip on the press/media: (FOX News Shep Smith Breaks Down The Medias Ebola Fear Mongering) (you can look it up) Shep Smith downplayed the ebola virus and compared it to the flu the best advice for you and your family get a flu shot... over 52000 people died from the flu last year. I was floored by this statement and his erroneous representation of the two viruses... So this would be my answer to him... Everyone knows the Flu can be transmitted by sneezing and coughing.. and according to the World health oranization Ebola can be caught the same way... (look it up) globalresearch.ca/world-health-organization-contradicts-us-centers-for-disease-control-admits-ebola-can-spread-via-coughing-sneezing-and-contaminated-surfaces/5407164?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=world-health-organization-contradicts-us-centers-for-disease-control-admits-ebola-can-spread-via-coughing-sneezing-and-contaminated-surfaces ------------- So now that you know Ebola can be caught from sneezing (IE body fuilds), and the Virus can survive out side the body for 3 days.. So let compare the motality rates for the FLU Vs Ebola It is estimated (by the World health organization-WHO) that the tally of world wide (GlobalY) seasonal flu cases each year is 340,000,000 to ONE BILLION infected. Of those there are 250,000 to 500,000 deaths, giving a mortality range of 0.025% to 0.147 The average fatality rate is around 50% up to 90%. Case fatality rates have varied from 25% to 90% in past outbreaks. who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs103/en/ nypost/2014/10/14/ebola-death-rate-rises-above-70/ edition.cnn/2014/10/14/world/europe/ebola-outbreak/index.html?eref=edition ---- So my question to you is, would you like to take your chances with the flu or ebola........... I believe we are seeing the sad consequences of our countrys choice of leadership. It seems it me that most of our leaders have lost the ability to think critically much less help the people and protect the American way of life. Politicians seem more concerned with profit, power and agendas instead of doing what is right. My Advice to you is to use your common sense, protect yourself & your family not matter that people may say, then pray for our country.
