FOLK NOIR - LINE UP CHANGE Folk Noir will have a change in their line up in 2015. We will announce our new line up next week. But first we would like to take a moment to give thanks and say goodbye to our co-founder, vocalist and instrumentalist Kaat Geevers (Kati Ran). Kaat has been involved with Folk Noir from the start. In 2011 we made our first EP Songs from Home Vol.1, where the focus was put on the fresh, fragile and intimate sound of the duo vocals. Ever since Kaat has been our helpful and creative force to make Folk Noir grow. With her dedication we recorded our EP at her home, she initiated and help organise our tour through Germany together with EUZEN, got us a videoclip produced in Holland (Dear Misery), set up our photoshoots, website and basically a lot of was done with her creative work and help. However, FOLK NOIR by now has evolved. Musical tastes grow apart, circumstances changed and our paths that once were entangled became more difficult to combine. Therefore we decided to go on seperate paths from 2015 on. Kaat will continue with her band L.E.A.F. and other music collaborations, while Oliver, Stephan and Alex will go on with FOLK NOIR with a new singer and instrumentalist. For now we like to say, we had a great time with Kaat and thank her for all her help. We wish her all the best.
