From what I consider to be Teena Maries finest album, It Must be magic . At this point Teena had nurtured a sound & style completely her own. Rick James had mentored a truly original artist in her own right. The ladies often get shortchanged with their instrument ability,but Teena was a formidable musician as well as a wholly original singer. RIP
