Good morning, England, Wales & Channel Islands: A showery start across parts of Wales & the West Midlands this morning, elsewhere conditions are mainly dry but rather cloudy, however, there are one or two sunny spells along the south coast and also across parts of northern England. As the morning progresses, more showers will push in on the stiff N/W wind, which for a time will gust up to 45 – 50 mph across Eastern coasts. The showers will be brief and fairly well scattered, but will pop up just about anywhere. Although showers will be around for this afternoon, there will be plenty of fine weather across England, Wales and the Channel Islands. Most of the showers will affect Eastern and South Eastern England, blown in on the stiff wind, which won’t be as strong as earlier. Showers will be possible elsewhere, but again they will be brief and well scattered. In between the showers, there will be plenty of sunny spells, especially in western areas of England and Wales. Temperatures will generally range between 13°c - 18°c, but in parts of the South East, we may see highs of 20°c. It will feel rather cool on the Eastern coasts with stiff winds taking the edge of the temperatures here. Scotland, NI & Isle of Man: Frequent showers blown in on a stiff N/W wind, will continue to affect the northern half of Scotland throughout today, some of these showers will be on the heavy side. For the southern half of Scotland, there will be a few scattered showers around, however in between the showers, conditions will brighten up with plenty of sunny spells around. Temperatures across the northern half will range from 9°c - 12°c, for the southern half we expect between 12°c - 15°c. Across NI today sunshine and showers will be the theme, the showers will mainly affect northern areas, as they will be blown in on a stiff N/W wind. Elsewhere conditions will be drier, although one or two showers can’t be ruled out. There will be one or two showers across the Isle of Man today, however, they will be very brief and conditions here will remain generally dry but rather cloudy.
