The BELIEVER being rooted in the revelation of Gods LOVE in Christ is like a tree or plant with deep roots in the soil; being established in his LOVE is like a building with strong foundations laid on solid ROCK.) Both metaphors emphasize depth as opposed to superficially. The JOURNEY also convey that revelation of THE LOVE OF CHRIST Ephesians (3:18) Is necessary for a deep, solid relationship that issues forth in POWERFUL FRUIT and life to Gods glory.
