FOOTBALL 411: Belgian goalie, Thiabut Courtois has today penned a new five years deal with Chelsea. He joined the Blues in 2011 from Racing Genk and was loaned out to Atletico de Madrid where he spend three seasons with the Spanish outfit. Courtois won both the Spanish La Liga, UEFA Europa League, Spanish Copa del Rey titles with Atletico de Madrid and was also adjudged the Best Goal Keeper in Spain. I’m very happy with this new deal, it’s really nice to have signed this new contract for five years. My future was already sorted but it’s nice to know I’m going to be here for another five years and now I can just concentrate on playing games. He was part of the Belgium squad that reached the quarter finals of the Brazil 2014 World Cup finals before being knocked out by Argentina. He has so far started Chelseas first three games in the Barclays Premier League this season.
