...FOR A PURPOSE! Most times, when I look back and see how God made me pass through the water and the fire before bringing me to a next phase in life& ministry; I arrived at the conclusion that its indeed for a PURPOSE! During the dark moments when it seems these challenges were too much for this little girl, the times I miraculously escaped several gunshots, the times of boarding wrong buses, the times when Mercy just stood in the gap...all for a PURPOSE! But throughout this period, God was ALWAYS there to encourage and comfort! He taught me patience, higher level of humility, tolerance, putting others ahead, daily dying to self, total dependence on Him, made me substitute my good for His best, etc... If Id not gone through all these, I might have missed some vital lessons of my life and delayed the manifestation of my next level! HEs still teaching and Im still learning! Indeed, everything that happens to a child of God is for a PURPOSE! Just like David! One would have thought that as little as he was, why was his father so wicked as to give him the hard responsibility of feeding the sheep when his elder ones were there? One would have thought that why did God allow him go through that challenge with the bear and lion at that young age? But do you know what? It was for a PURPOSE! This experience David had with the lion and bear, made him bold and courageous; which prepared him for the greater challenge and greater victory with the uncircumcised philistine, and this inturn ushered him to his throne! My dearest, Yes YOU! Im here to encourage and tell you that IT IS FOR A PURPOSE; to show forth Gods glory, to prove to your enemies that God still has power to turn a mistake to a miracle, and a blunder to a wonder! In the life of every child of God, theres always a period/stage(s) of ones life when youll need to submit your cheek to God to smite you so as to fit into the shape designed and ordained for your life! If only we can recognise this period and focus on Christ, be humble& patient enough to let Him work on those flaws and dross as to reveal the gold in us! Also, we need to be in tune with the Holy Spirit as to know when the door of opportunity or next level opens! You dont fold your hands during this period! As God is working on you, you keep serving Him and keep praying fervently! Remember, the earlier we respond to the changes God brings, the faster we move to our next level! Lets not out of impatience/grumbling/murmuring turn a journey of forty days to forty years! For every battle or dark moment God permits any of His child to go through, He has already made provision for the victory ahead! 1Peter 5:10: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you PERFECT, STABLISH, STRENGTHEN, SETTLE you. As we go this week with fervent prayers as to recover all weve lost, lets also say like Paul: Now that Ive got my eye on the Goal; Im running off, No turning Back. Do have a victorious week.
