FOR CHANGE The ultimate game plan? Or is it just my thinking, CRS 2015 A lot has been trending online and offline about the political happenings in Cross River State, as a follower, I can only join in the excitement of the moment and attempt to draw conclusions from my thoughts about what I foresee will happen as that moment we all are waiting for unfolds. Firstly, I am waiting to see those who will finally resign from their present comfort zone in the Executive Council of the State to this clash where only the titans will reign. Even though rumour has it strongly that Patrick Ugbe, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development, Mr. Gerald Ada, the Special Adviser on Investment Promotion and Ntufam Dr. Peter Oti, The Special Adviser Budget and Ag Chairman, Cross River State Internal Revenue Service are ready to resign their appointments tomorrow Monday 29th September 2014 to follow up the race to the Leopard House squarely. However, I am shining my eyes like that of the cat with nine lives and stretching my ears like that of an antelope to see and hear the final outcome of these rumours by tomorrow. I shall attempt to share my thoughts with the analogy and story of the Pirate of the Caribbean: I am thinking a lot of attention is on this trio because they come from the same place with ‘a certain aspirant’ (Barbosa) who is causing the inner caucus of ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ (The present Captain of the Leopard House Ship) to have goose pimples with just the thought of his name. ‘Barbosa’ changed the direction of the ship when he came onboard surprisingly to the present Captain who thought he had everything under control. As an ardent follower and one who is really interested in knowing where this ship will finally berth as well as one who is watching to see if the present Captain of the ship will yield to the demands of ‘Barbosa’, or He ‘Jack Sparrow’ will continually invoke the spirit of the goddess of the Caribbean to keep his relevance at all cost. I can only begin to ask myself if this could be the final game plan or just my thinking, again I thought to myself, if Barbosa has indicated interest strongly to take over the Captainship from the present Captain and because, he (Barbosa) had amassed a lot of treasure in times past and seems to be giving away so much of it to members of his crew and even to the general crew watching from a distance, Captain Jack Sparrow can only get away and still become relevant in the affairs of the people of the Caribbean if he hands over to one of the kinsmen of ‘Barbosa’ who is fast becoming a household name in the land of the Caribbean, hence the strong indication that one amongst ‘Barbosa’s kinsmen will become the next Captain of the ship of the Leopard House come 2015 since according to the “three wise men”, ‘all they had trained to take over from them failed”. The truth about all those in contention for the Captainship of the ship to the Leopard House in 2015, ‘Barbosa’ is the strongest contender because he has the right treasures and connect to the upper republic to fight to the very end of the voyage. This is the reason the present Captain has thought to disarm him quietly by bringing one who is really outstanding in the administration of governance and has the financial muscle from Barbosa’s same ward to the race. The other two of his kinsmen are said to be pawn’s in the chess board. Then the question of what Captain Jack Sparrow will benefit from all this comes to bear because he says he doesn’t have any interest in the upper republic but can this really be true? Well I think he wants to own everything in the Caribbean that is politically related while Barbosa’s kinsmen will handle the administrative aspect of the people of the Caribbean. Captain Jack Sparrow has thought about his predecessor and doesn’t want to be like him so he has invoked the goddess of the land and this is what will play out as the elders of the land of the Caribbean will tell ‘Barbosa’ to let go since Captain Jack Sparrow has finally settled for one of their sons. Summarily, it is the will of the almighty God that will reign supreme in our lives and I can tell you for sure that He knows who the next Captain of the ship of the Leopard House is. Whether it will be Barbosa himself or one of his kinsmen or any other person from the other tribes in the northern region of the land the Caribbean, only time will tell, and that time is gradually drawing close.
