Calls for Nominations for the African Entertainment Awards 2014 Toronto, Ont. - African Entertainment Inc. is calling for nominations for the African Entertainment Awards scheduled to take place on August 30, 2014 at Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The public is invited to submit their nominations between March 3 to May 31, 2014 using the online nomination form at: aeawards.ca. After the nomination deadline, entertainment officials will conduct a series of review meetings to thoroughly assess the eligibility of each nominee submitted by the public. This includes ensuring that they meet the requirements that fit the award category for which they have been nominated. Upon final selection of the official nominees, the general public will be invited to vote between July and August. After that, a voting panel will review the public votes, and determine the winners of for each award. Winners will be announced and presented with the AEA 18K golden statute during the awards ceremony on August 30, 2014. Entertainment awards include: Best MC, Best DJ, Best Male Gospel Artist, Best Female Gospel Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Male Artist, Best Album, Best Single, Best Producer, Best Video Director, Best Promoter, Best Comedian, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Designer, Best Media, Best Record Label, Best New Artist, Best Band/Group, Traditional Artist of the Year, Athlete of the Year, Crossover Artist, Beacon Of Africa, Award of Excellence and Community Champion. International awards include: Intl Best Male Artist, Intl Best female Artist, Intl Best African Actor, Intl Best African Actress and Intl African Music Ambassador. All nominations for the international category must be submitted by July 1st, 2014.
