The concert will feature five of the most renowned Christian artists in the industry: Country/bluegrass icon Rickey Skaggs; former Gaither Vocal Band baritone, solo artist and comedian Mark Lowry; Top-selling gospel artist and host of DayStar Network’s “Gospel Music Showcase” Guy Penrod; “America’s Favorite Family of Gospel Music” The Hoppers, featuring multi award-winning soprano Kim Hopper; and singer-songwriter Russ Taff, known for his versatility in singing styles from pop and contemporary Christian music to rhythm and blues. “This is an absolutely great line-up of Christian artists that we are extremely excited to bring to the Wiregrass,” said Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell. “We believe everyone will receive a blessing from this great event,” he said, noting that a highlight that he is especially looking forward to is the performance by the Enterprise Community Mass Choir, a compilation of choir members from various Enterprise churches. “I can’t wait to hear the Mass Choir,” he said. “The choir directors and volunteer choir members are already working hard to prepare for the concert, and this is going to be something of a magnitude that’s never been done here before.” He’s also looking forward to several local Christian groups that will perform beginning at 2 p.m. Gates open at Bates Memorial Stadium at 1 p.m. Along with the opportunity to hear some outstanding music and receive the blessing in the words of the inspirational and praise-invigorating songs, those who participate in the event will also enjoy food prepared by area vendors, and engage in conversation and information exchanges at sponsor and vendor booths surrounding the stage area. Restaurants or other food vendors, businesses, artists or craftsmen who are interested in vending at the concert are asked to go the “Enterprise Celebration” website, enterprisecelebration/contact to fill out the vendor form and return it to the email address provided, or print it out and drop it by the Enterprise Area Chamber of Commerce, 553 Glover Ave., or Enterprise City Hall, 501 S. Main St. The all-day concert also provides a wonderful sponsorship opportunity for local businesses and industry. Visit enterprisecelebration for ticket locations. Advance tickets are $28 for the entire day of music and fun. Group tickets of 20 to 49 are $22 each; 50 or more are $17 each. Tickets sold at the gate the day of the show are $30 each. VIP tickets are also available for seating in the Gold Circle, which will be special seating directly in front of the main stage. Those tickets are $82 in advance or $125 the day of the show. “As the time draws nearer, I get more and more excited about the reasons that we wanted to bring this concert to our area – to bring the people together to enjoy great music, and celebrate the values and beliefs that are such a significant and meaningful part of our lives,” Boswell said. “I hope you all are as excited as I am, and I know you’re going to get on board with us to make this event as successful as possible.”
