FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Internationally Known Artists Show and Share at Dana Point’s “The Shed Fine Arts Gallery” Show and Reception September 26 Dana Point, CA, September 26, 2013 – What does Michael Jackson’s “Thrilla” have in common with Dana Point? Milo Lovell, for one thing. The celebrity choreographer will be on hand with a sample of his performance work and to meet reception attendees at a special show and reception “Expect the Unexpected” on Thursday September 26 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at The Shed Fine Art Gallery at the Coastal Arcadian, 24471 Del Prado in Dana Point. No admission is charged but reservations are recommended. Milo is known all over the world for his work, which includes Hip Hop dancing for Pope John II at the Jubileo program held in the Vatican in 2000. He has also choreographed performances for both Michael and Janet Jackson as well as Jessica Alba, (Milo trained Jessica for Feature Film Honey), Sandra Bullock, LL Cool J, Stevie Wonder, Boys to Men, Arnold Swartzenegger, Maria Shriver, Ricki Lake, Diana Ross, Helen Hunt, and Tia Carrera. Milo is joined by internationally known storyteller Victoria Burnett. Victoria has performed at the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Orange County Center for the Performing Arts, and has toured extensively in Europe, Africa, South and Central America. Currently participating in the People to People Ambassador Program as the South African delegate, she brings her skill as an “Oral Musicologist” and master Storyteller to the evening’s event. “Fine art painter, muralist, musician and philanthropist Dray Wilmore is the magical intelligence behind this fascinating evening” said Gina Waggener, Special Events Director for this event and a talented photographer in her own right. Known for his large scale murals, musically themed abstract paintings and colorful portraits of beautiful women, Dray’s focus is on the community and inspiring youth through art. In addition, the Gallery’s current exhibition features works by amazing contemporary artists from the area, all of whom are donating a portion of their sales to benefit the Friendship Shelter for the Homeless in Laguna Beach. Delightful appetizers and delicious Italian wines from ZGR will be featured throughout the lovely, serene grounds of the Coastal Arcadian (Arcadian is a Greek word meaning “tranquil”), which also hosts OC Bead and the Coop stores. Tastings of jams and jellies, gourmet cookies, and samplings of lotions and soaps, all made in the USA, will be available to guests. Live contemporary music will be provided by local musicians Gary and John throughout the evening.
