This year Jackie will be donating one of her own pair of boots which she kindly autographed for the CMA Celebrity Auction at CMA Music Festival (June/2014). Proceeds raised by the annual auction are to be donated to CMA’s Keep the Music Playing charity in support of public school music education. Tonight will be the grand finale of VIVA LA DIVA, a singing competition on Univision’s high rating show Sábado Gigante. Jackie Arredondo has been on the panel of experts for the last five months and also in charge of the vocal coaching for the competition. Jackie Arredondo, a Cuban-American raised in Miami, Florida is a multi-talented artist who has already gained attention for her career as a country singer; her EP, “Just Call Me Jackie,” which was produced in Nashville by Brian G White. In 2012, she was the first Latina to introduce the steel guitar to National Hispanic television, and she was the first Latina to introduce genuine country music with Spanish lyrics to Hispanic radio—having two singles in the top ten on the latin air waves. As well as through her career as a country singer, Jackie Arredondo will be familiar to viewers of Univision’s Sábado Gigante for her work as a vocal coach on the show—an extension of her Miami-based vocal school. Her technique became so popular that she has been hired in the past by Sony Music Latin to train and polish some of their talent. She has coached famous artists, and artists for famous producers like Emilio Estefan, Tommy Mottola and Sean (P Diddy) Combs.
