FOR SALE! 15.2 9yo cob x (unsure on what he is crossed with) gelding. I bought Bugsy earlier this year in July. I bought him unseen as he was a long way from me. When Bugsy come to me it was 10 oclock at night, pitch black, in a new surrounding and he didnt behave any different to a happy settled horse. Wen I bought Bugsy he was advertised and safe etc but reared when on hacks as he had been sent to a dealers yard to sell by previous owner and was completely unsettled, which is why he acted this way. The previous owner also explained that they wasnt massive up right rears they was your typical bunny size 2 ft off the floor rears. Also in the advertisement it said he was a wimp when it come to fillers. I still bought him knowing this and my self being a show jumper. Ive worked on Bugsy since the day I bought him, he tried the bunny hop rear once, he got a firm telling off with the voice, a small kick and growl, and he HAS NOT tried this since. Fillers he was a bit of a wimp, but with consistency, I have now cracked the fillers and he was then competed by a novice girl 11 years of age up to 80cm. Bugsy is no longer phased by fillers, if he knows your firm, he will jump anything! I have competed him up to a metre. Bugsy is a lazy horse, but once he trusts you to look after him and has adapted to your riding and knows what you can do, he steps up a notch. Bugsy never gets strong or silly. He is snaffle mouthed at ALL times. Loves his xc/eventing and would make an amazing hunter horse. I have a 5 stage vetting with Bugsys passport and a dressage text scoring around 80% (cant remember off the top of my head). Bugsy has been ridden by my 8 year old sister and other novice children (videos on request) Hes chunky, but isnt too chunky and there isnt loads of gut to get your leg around. He works lovely in an outline but requires a lot of leg. Can be ridden in spurs and/or with a whip. Is used to all traffic/farm machinery/animals. Bugsy need a quite but firm rider. If he knows you have no confidence he will play on it and throw the odd buck in. Bugsy does NOT need daily turn out! With too much grass he can become to be cheeky and buck more often! Unfortunately this is the reason he is back up for sale- he went on lwvtb to a lovely girl (novice) at a lovely yard. He was on 3 inch high grass from 6am to 5pm. This is far too much for him, he has bucked a few times and unseated her and she has now lost confidence with him and unfortunately want to give him back, I financially cant afford Bugsy. He has an AMAZING temperament, in and out of the stable. Rugs, loads, travels alone or in company. Stands at the lorry/trailer all day alone/in company without a bother. He is shod on only the fronts. Hes perfect for farrier, vet and dentist. Bugsy can be stabled 24/7 without a bother. Bugsy doesnt change attitude under the saddle weather he have one day off or 3 months off. When I bought him he had had 2 months off, I rode him the day after I bought him and he didnt put a foot out of line, and hasnt done since! Ive tried to be as honest as I can with this horse to find him the best home. He has been ridden/competed&hacked by a novice since I bought him, she has only fallen off a couple of times jumping where he has a big bold jump and unfortunately being a novice has out seated her a couple of times. Hes a gentle man and a real pleasure to own. Very safe sale. all up to date with teeth/jabs etc. He can come with a full wardrobe (saddle, bridle, numbah, girth and a couple of rugs) his saddle has been professionally fitted to him and MUST go with him. With full wardrobe £2600 for Bugsy and his saddle £2300. Please note the saddle means an awful lot to me as was my old horses that past away earlier this year and the saddle was £600 new! A few scratches but the saddle is in perfect working condition. Sorry for the long one but Im being as honest as I can. Thank you for reading. Based in manston kent.
